A new mosquito killer, Spartan Mosquito Eradicator, is on the market that uses no electricity no batteries and no chemicals and seems to be working really well and yes Sutherlands has it in stock. In researching this, did you know a mosquito has a flight range of 1 to 3 miles and an adult female mosquito can live 42 to 56 days and during that time can lay up to 5100 eggs while the male lives only 7 to 10 days, she’s the one that searches for blood and bites and the male mosquito just cruises around looking for nectar? The Spartan Mosquito Eradicator comes with two units per box enough for the beginning of season use to control mosquitoes in a one-acre yard; all you do is add warm water and hang. Directions state if starting to use them after the season begins to first use two boxes per acre to catch up and after 90 days can replace with just one box of two units. Hang the units along the perimeter and in different areas of your yard no farther than 180 feet apart and be sure to hang them away from areas where people gather since the unit will attract them in to feed. If you have woods or a water feature place one in that area; place about 6 feet off the ground ideally in a tree or bush in the shade to reduce evaporation do not hang on a building. Directions state within 15 days you should notice a greatly diminished mosquito population.
